While titles don't mean too much of anything, they are also a testament to our showing and breeding program. Going to shows and get the cats evaluated by many judges, especially for our own breeding, will help to determine whether our very own interpretations on the breed are close enough to the breed standards. It is also a way to see where the cats stand at a point.
Our aim in the breeding program will never astray from producing great cats with wonderful temperaments, healthy and with superb features and conditions. Most importantly, they are trained to be lovely companions at home.
Our showing career started in 2009, when we decided to venture into showing maine coons. From there we have learned a lot of things, and many more to be learned along the way as we continue our journey in cat fancy.
To help you understand the abbreviations of titles in CFA, here are the simple glossary:
CH = Champion (An unaltered cat being judged in 4 rings (or 6 rings in other regions))
PR = Premier (An altered cat being judged in 4 rings (or 6 rings in other regions))
GC = Grand Champion (by collecting 125 points at the show as a Champion)
GP = Grand Premier (by collecting 50 points at the show as a Premier)
DW = Divisional Winner ( by being ranked as Top 20 (Championship, Kitten) or Top 15 (Premiership) in the International Division)*
RW = Regional Winner ( by being ranked as Top 25 in the Region 1-9)
NW = National Winner ( by being ranked as Top 25 globally)*
BW = Breed Winner ( by being ranked as the highest scoring cat in the breed)
DM = Distinguished Merit (a title for a cat that produces a number of grand offsprings: 5 Grands for a female and 15 Grands by a male).
